Ron Mix is a former professional football player, attorney, and advocate for retired athletes whose career has spanned professional sports, law, and player advocacy. Best known for his time with the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders, Ron was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979 following a distinguished NFL career from 1960 to 1972. After retiring from football, Ron transitioned into law and began practicing as an attorney in 1975. Over the following decades, he became widely recognized for representing retired professional athletes in workers’ compensation claims, building one of the largest practices in the country focused on this specialized area of law. Today, Ron serves as an attorney with Mix, Namanny & Berger, continuing his work advocating for retired athletes while also serving as President of the Pro Football Retired Players Association, which provides health benefits and support services to thousands of former NFL players and their families.
